WELCOME to the Parish of ST. Goran Web-site

The Parish of ST. Goran is situated in the County of Cornwall, in the South West of England. It is part of the Diocese of Truro within the Church of England

St. Goran Church

Gorran Churchtown, a mile inland, is an unspoilt hamlet, centered around the Parish Church of St Goran which is of Norman origin and is well worth visiting. To the West of Gorran Haven are Caerhays Castle, beach and gardens. Caerhays Beach is sheltered with golden sand, beach cafe and ample car parking. The gardens are open to the public at certain times of the year and boast a breathtaking collection of Camellias, Rhododendrons and many tropical plants in an idyllic setting

The heart of Gorran Haven is a cluster of fishermen's cottages, nestling around a secluded cove and today it remains much the same as years gone by. The two village beaches have golden sand and sea amongst the safest in the County, making them ideal for the whole family, including dogs on leads. The main beach is accessible by all and all facilities are close by, including a large car park. It is a pleasure to bathe in the clear sparkling water, particularly since the completion of South West Water's Clean Sweep program in the village. The harbour is sheltered by a stone quay and there are visitors' moorings for boating enthusiasts.
